After Bhotbhoti and Memory X, director
Tathagata Mukherjee is all set to shoot his next film, titled
Gopone Mod Chharan, starring Soham Majumdar, Rishab Basu,
Soumya Mukherjee, Rooqma Roy,
Megha Chowdhury,
Samrat Mukherjee, among others. “We will start shooting from June 3, in and around Kolkata. It is a single-shot film and that is the uniqueness of this project. The film is a black comedy that raises a lot of questions about our society.
We all are living in a time when most of us are quite insensitive to a lot of things happening around us and my film delves into that. The camera itself is a character here and I will treat the film in a different way,” said the director.
Talking about the storyline of the film, he further added, “The film shows three friends drinking together and after a point, they realise that they need more drinks so that they can party all through the night. They decide to go in three different directions and the story begins from there. The three friends have different experiences in their journey, which culminate at a point.”
When asked about the project, Soham said, “I am excited to be a part of this single-shot film. The story begins with three friends searching for wine in the middle of the night. And suddenly they are hit by a dramatic turn. In this movie, the camera tries to capture the flow of life without stopping and the many characters influence each other with butterfly effect. We have been rehearsing for the past one month on this project,” said Soham.
